Bradley Epworth Church is a gathering of people who follow Jesus and want to see Him glorified. We do this by pursuing His presence in worship, praying for breakthrough and revival, and seeking to "make Jesus real to the world by doing the things that Jesus did". We take seriously the power of prayer and God's desire that we be "a house of prayer". As a part of the United Methodist denomination, we seek to flow in the same Biblical, evangelistic, spirit-filled faith of John Wesley and the Articles of Religion as contained in the Book of Discipline. We seek to honor John Wesley's desire to be "just plain Christians". Wesley said,
"I would to God both thou and all men knew, that I, and all who follow my judgment, do vehemently refuse to be distinguished from other men, by any but the common principles of Christianity, -- the plain, old Christianity that I teach, renouncing and detesting all other marks of distinction...
In order to stay faithful to the spirit and heart of John Wesley, we do not promote the denominations and traditions that separate us from one another. Instead, we seek to be "just plain Christians" and work in unity with other bible based churches throughout our geographic area as together we are the "Church of Jesus Christ in Peoria". We believe God is going to bring a powerful transforming revival to the Greater Peoria area, and that our congregation plays a role in His Kingdom strategy.
