BE MISSIONS

Bradley Epworth Missions seeks to do the things that Jesus did by sharing the love of Jesus with a hurting and lost world. Ten percent of the Bradley Epworth tithes and offerings are set aside to support local and world wide-missions, as well as send missionaries from our church all over the world. We sent teams from BE to share the Gospel of Jesus in  Peru, Estonia, Navaho Land and India.

BE Missions
Committee Guidelines

Under the guidelines of Bradley Epworth’s Statement of Faith, we as a Mission Committee agree that our purpose is to support those who go into all the world to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that Jesus commanded so that God’s people would be prepared for works of  service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Mat. 28:19-20 & Eph. 4:12-13)

 1.   Ministries whose first priority is taking the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the world, and especially countries where Christians are persecuted.

2.  Individual missionaries, serving the U.S.A. or around the world, who are doing the work of the Kingdom for Christ through a recognized church or mission agency. This would also include people from our congregation going on short-term mission trips.

3.  Local organizations that do the work of Christ in our community, such as South Side Mission and Peoria Rescue Mission. This
could also include individuals operating under the guidance and authority of a recognized church or mission agency.

4.  Any mission endeavor supported must believe that the Bible, consisting only of the Old and New Testaments, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is inerrant in the original manuscripts. It alone is the infallible and authoritative Word of God for all matters of faith, conduct and doctrine.

BE Missions Committee News

Missions has had a very busy summer with many missionaries coming home on leave and meeting with the committee.  We also had Pastor Andrei Spirendenko and his family visiting with us for almost 2 weeks in July. It was so nice having them here and missions wants to give a big Thank you to everyone who helped during that time. We especially thank Alyssa Pollock who opened her home to all 6 of them for the entire time, and the ones who took them for meals and activities during the week.

Now we are focusing on our Mission trip to  Gwo-Cheval,  Haiti from November 10th until November 17th. They will be staying with Jesse and Kirsten Lancour, missionaries whom our Church helps  to support. During their week there they will be helping in their Cornerstone School of truth. The Lancours started this school last year. They are in need of  10  more “godparents” to help this year with the financial needs of these children. If you would like to help  by sponsoring a child, please contact Linda Daly at 253-9215.

Our team will also be working on projects there. Jesse and Kirsten will decide what is needed as time gets closer.

The team just had an all church cookout to make money  for materials they will need for their projects, and to help the Lancours with other needs as they see them while they are in Haiti. If you wish to contribute to this fund we are still accepting donations.  Just make check out to Bradley Epworth Church and in the MEMO put  for Haiti mission trip.

Our team is small, but they are mighty for God!!   Members of the team:  Katrine Capak, Suzie King, and Vicky Theobald.  Please keep  them all in your prayers for safety on the trip and to be used by God according to His will. Also, keep Jesse and Kirsten Lancour and their  three little sons in prayer,  as well as all the people in Haiti that God has already planned for them to meet.

Thank you all so much for all your prayers and donations for this trip!!
