BE missions

Bradley Epworth Missions seeks to do the things that Jesus did by sharing the love of Jesus with a hurting and lost world. Ten percent of the Bradley Epworth tithes and offerings are set aside to support local and world wide-missions, as well as send missionaries from our church all over the world. We sent teams from BE to share the Gospel of Jesus in  Peru, Estonia, Navaho Land and India.

BE Missions
Committee Guidelines

Under the guidelines of Bradley Epworth’s Statement of Faith, we as a Mission Committee agree that our purpose is to support those who go into all the world to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that Jesus commanded so that God’s people would be prepared for works of  service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Mat. 28:19-20 & Eph. 4:12-13)

 1.   Ministries whose first priority is taking the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the world, and especially countries where
Christians are persecuted.
2.  Individual missionaries, serving the U.S.A. or around the world, who are doing the work of the Kingdom for Christ through a recognized church or mission agency. This would also include people from our congregation going on short-term mission trips.
3.  Local organizations that do the work of Christ in our community, such as South Side Mission and Peoria Rescue Mission. This
could also include individuals operating under the guidance and authority of a recognized church or mission agency.
4.  Any mission endeavor supported must believe that the Bible, consisting only of the Old and New Testaments, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is inerrant in the original manuscripts. It alone is the infallible and authoritative Word of God for all matters of faith, conduct and doctrine.

Committee News

Missions has had a really busy summer.  Pastor Andrei  Spirindenko and his family of 6 were here in Peoria for almost 2 weeks. They are back in Chicago now with Pastor  Vladimir Chernov.  Rosa Chernov , Pastor Vladimir’s wife is in the hospital in Chicago very ill.  Please pray for all of the family. The Spirindenko’s will fly back to Estonia on August 2nd.

Pastor Andrei’s family was hosted by Alyssa Pollock while here, and they were very busy with the schedule she prepared for them.  They enjoyed, eating at different restaurants, a Chief’s baseball game, Wild Life Prairie Park, a cook out, shopping for hours, and dinner with Jimmy and Nancy Mustard, who had been to Estonia  and then with Pastor Tom’s family.  Pastor Andrei never missed an opportunity to pray for everyone he came in contact with and healing for many. He also preached both services at our church on July 9th. His son in law, Anton translated for him since Pastor Vladimir was unable to come down due to his wife’s illness. Anton was not prepared for this but he did well and we appreciate all he did. The Missions Committee would like to thank all those who helped make this time an wonderful experience for Pastor Andrei and for all of us here at Bradley Epworth.
