BE missions

Holy Spirit comes on you ….be my witnesses….

Under the guidelines of Bradley Epworth’s statement of faith, we agree that our purpose as a mission committee is to support those who go into all the world to make disciples.  Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Teaching them to obey everything that Jesus commanded so that God’s people would be prepared for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

……….Matthew 28:19-20 – make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them, I am with you always, to the end of the age!……   Ephesians 4:12-13 – Equip God’s people, work and build up the church.  Unity in our faith, knowledge of God’s son that we will be mature in the Lord………….

  1. Ministries whose first priority is taking the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the world and especially countries where Christians are persecuted.
  2. Individual missionaries, serving in the U.S.A. or around the world, that are doing the work of Kingdom of Christ through a recognized church or mission agency.  This would also include, but not be limited to, people from our congregation going on short term mission trips.
  1. Local organizations who do God’s work within our community by helping those in need such as;

       * Food Pantries

       * Homeless shelters

       * Juvenile Detention Centers

       * Shelters for women and Children

       * Ministries for people with addictions

       * Prison ministries

Any mission endeavor supported must believe that the Bible consists solely of the Old and New Testament, is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is inerrant in the original manuscripts. The Bible alone is the infallible and authoritative word of God in all matters of faith, conduct, and doctrine.
